Two injured after car crashes into Skegness Travelodge

Two people were injured after a car crashed into the side of the Travelodge hotel on Skegness seafront.
Emergency services were called to the hotel on South Parade at around 6.45pm on Thursday, September 17.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed that both people inside the vehicle were injured during the collision. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Hotel guests and members of staff were safely evacuated while firefighters inspected the building.
Pictures shared from the scene showed police, ambulance and fire crews outside the hotel, with a cordon established around part of the car park.
The vehicle remained at the scene for several hours, with recovery work beginning during the early hours of Friday morning.
A Travelodge spokesperson confirmed that the hotel has since reopened and arrangements are being made to repair the damage caused by the collision.
The company also thanked the emergency services for their rapid response.
The Skegness seafront Travelodge opened in September 2025. The six-storey hotel has 80 bedrooms and a top-floor bar and restaurant overlooking the coast.
No further information has been released about the circumstances surrounding the collision.
