Skegness Parking Guide: Best Beach, Town & Seafront Car Parks

Skegness Parking Beach Car Parks

If you’re planning a visit to the Lincolnshire coast, finding convenient Skegness parking can make all the difference. Whether you want a Skegness beach car park, something close to the town centre, or a spot right on the Skegness seafront, there are several reliable options to choose from.

Before you travel to Skegness, Here’s a local’s guide to the best car parks beach visitors can use year-round.

North Parade Car Park

Located just a short walk from the Skegness seafront, North Parade Car Park is one of the most popular choices for beachgoers. It’s spacious, well-signposted and ideal if you’re spending the day by the pier or at the main Skegness beach car park area.

If you don't mind walking along the promenade for a couple of minutes and if you are looking for quieter areas of beach to relax at, this is the perfect seafront carpark for you.

Location: North Parade, Skegness PE25
Distance to beach: 2–3 minutes’ walk
Ideal for: Beach visits, pier, seafront attractions
Top tip: Arrive early during summer weekends as this is one of the busiest Skegness car parks.

South Parade Car Park

Further along the coast, South Parade Car Park offers great views and a quieter alternative to the main strip. It’s perfect if you’re heading towards the boating lake, model village, or quieter sections of the Skegness seafront.

Remember: this is the car park you might have used before, when driving around the clock tower and heading directly towards the beach. But if you've not been for a few years, you might not know you can't access it here any more. You need to head south (if you're facing the sea - turn right!). The local council made the old entrance a pedestrianised area in 2021.

However, if you are visiting the beach, be sure to visit the area of Skegness beach patrolled by lifeguards. The beach directly off the South Parade car park was where there were a number of tragedies in 2025 due to its remote and unsupervised nature. Luckily, the RNLI lifeguard unit and lifeboat station is just 2 minutes along the promenade.

Location: South Parade, Skegness PE25
Distance to beach: 3 minutes’ walk
Ideal for: Families, quieter beach days
Top tip: A great choice for anyone looking for less crowded Skegness parking with easy seafront access.

Embassy Car Park

The Embassy Car Park sits right behind the Embassy Theatre and is ideal if you’re catching a show, dining out, or visiting nearby amusement arcades. It’s one of the most central Skegness car parks, offering both short and long-stay options.

It sits just behind Botton's Pleasure Beach which is full of rides and funfair games; and just 2 minutes from central beach. The car park does get quite busy though as it's only small in comparison to other seafront car parks in Skegness so the South Parade car park is often used as the overflow car park.

Location: Grand Parade, Skegness PE25
Distance to beach: 2 minutes’ walk
Ideal for: Theatre, restaurants, town centre shopping
Top tip: Combine with a visit to Tower Gardens for a relaxing afternoon.

Hildreds Centre Car Park

If your visit includes some retail therapy, the Hildreds Centre Car Park is the most convenient. It’s located right in the heart of the town centre and gives easy access to shops in Skegness, cafés and the indoor shopping centre. It's bang in the centre of town with easy access to shops and still only 5 minutes to the seafront.

Location: Hildreds Shopping Centre, Lumley Road, Skegness
Distance to beach: 5–7 minutes’ walk
Ideal for: Shopping, indoor activities, central location
Top tip: Ideal for wet days when you’d rather explore the town than the beach.

Skegness Cricket Club Car Park

During peak summer months, the Skegness Cricket Club Car Park opens as an overflow option close to the seafront. It’s often less crowded and supports the local club through parking fees.

The cricket club car park is spacious and budget friendly. It sits opposite Skegness Train Station too so great if you're meeting friends. It's at the end of the main high street so you can stroll into town and past all of the shops before getting to the carnage of the seafront and seaside attractions.

Location: Richmond Drive, Skegness
Distance to beach: 8–10 minutes’ walk
Ideal for: Busy weekends, large vehicles, value parking
Top tip: Perfect backup option if the main Skegness seafront car park areas are full.

Final Tips for Skegness Parking

  • Many Skegness car parks now accept contactless payment and mobile parking apps.

  • Check signage for seasonal pricing or time restrictions.

  • For a full beach day, choose North Parade or South Parade. For shopping or dining, Embassy and Hildreds are best.

  • Some hotels do have parking near the seafront. If you're staying for a few days, check with your hotel if you can leave the car. Most things are in walking distance!

No matter where you park, Skegness makes it easy to enjoy a full day of seaside fun with plenty of accessible and affordable parking options.
